Hi, I’m Sarah, the founder of Barekin, and a mum of two young sons.

When my firstborn started struggling with eczema, I quickly realised how hard it was to find products that actually helped. I tried everything. I researched endlessly, changed routines, and worked my way through so many products labelled “sensitive” or “gentle”.

Instead of helping, many of them seemed to irritate his skin even more.

What frustrated me most was discovering how many laundry products marketed for sensitive skin were still filled with fragrance and unnecessary ingredients — things that stay on clothes, towels and bedding long after the wash cycle ends.

And when you’re dealing with eczema, every little thing matters.

Laundry touches our skin every single day, yet it was one of the hardest things to get right. I wanted something simpler. Something genuinely gentle. Something I felt comfortable using on my children’s clothes — and confident recommending to other families walking the same path.

So I created Barekin.

Barekin is built on the belief that less is often better, especially for sensitive skin. Fewer ingredients. No fragrance. No unnecessary fillers. Just a thoughtfully formulated laundry sheet designed to dissolve fully in the wash and leave less behind.
